What is 3D Printing
3D printing is a type of additive manufacturing technologies that produce three-dimensional solid parts one layer at a time from a 3D digital model, presented in the CAD design file or digital file,it is a layering method, and each layer can be considered as a thin cross-section of the object, using powders of metal, plastic, or other adhesive materials, which means the finished 3D printing part is a combinations of the powders, use powders of different materials and 3D printing machines to shape different objects and structures.
3D printing was offen used in mold manufacturing, cause it is so easy to print a hand mold with low cost and very a little time. And now we can find 3D printing widely used, like components in jewelry, footwear, firearms, industrial design, automotive, architecture, engineering and construction, dental and medical industries, education, GIS, aerospace, civil engineering, and other fields, normally we can print words and patterns with ordinary printers, however, with 3d printers,we can print objects and design concepts, even an idea can be easily realistic.
Materials
A wide variety of materials can be used in 3D printing, which makes the 3D printing parts much more bossibility,
Metals:Aluminum,Cobalt Chrome,Inconel,Stainless Steel,Titanium
Plastics:ABS,PA (Nylon),PVA,Polycarbonate,PLA,CPVC,PEEK,Polypropylene,PP,PEI,PC,PMMA
Elastomers:Digital photopolymer,TPU,True Silicone,PETP
Applications
3d printing service & 3d printing parts applied in a variety of industries, such as telecommunications, aerospace, Medical instrumentation,Gears and bearings,Brackets,Fixtures for manufacturing,Internal mechanical components,Housings and enclosures, electric vehicle, UAV, robot, lightings,Form and fit prototypes,Surgical instrumentation,Medical devices,Jigs and fixtures,Engine components,Housings and enclosures,Snap fits,Fuel injectors,Heat exchangers and heat sinks.
Advantages of 3D printing
Multiple benefits have been provided by 3d printing, especially for prototyping customizing samples.
- Speed up a lot for prototyping or production process, dealing it within hours
- Support more complex geometries design and creation
- Save machines and operators, save labor, and save time
- Multiple materials are available
- Layer-by-layer assembling enhances the design with better quality
- Minimize the waste materials, with little or no waste compared to cutting machines
- The technology is environmentally-friendly and sustainable
3D Printing Processing technology
3D printing is used in a wide variety of industries, such as agriculture, aerospace, automotive, construction, and robots, automobile frames, lights shell, surgical equipment, airplane engines, gears, and hand tools or other tools and devices. Normally 3D printing operations are like below:Stereolithography (SLA),Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), Multi Jet Fusion ( MJF), Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), Carbon DLS, Direct Metal Laser Sintering and PolyJet.
SLA
Stereolithography (SLA) is a method using an ultraviolet laser to draw thousands of thin layers on the surface of liquid thermoset resin to form a part.
SLS
Selective laser sintering (SLS) means using a CO2 laser to fuses nylon-based powder, layer by layer, building the final thermoplastic parts.
MJF
Multi Jet Fusion, means heating the nylon power materials bed, which are applied fusing and detailing agents,by heating elements, until a solid functional component formed.
FDM
Fused deposition modeling (FDM) is a method of heating, melting and forming various hot melt filamentous materials (wax, ABS, nylon, etc.)
Carbon DLS
Carbon DLS using digital light projection, oxygen permeable optics, and programmable liquid resins to produce plastic parts with excellent mechanical properties and surface finish.
DMLS
Direct metal laser sintering (DMLS),draw the atomized metal powder onto a surface using a fiber laser system, then weld the powder into fully dense metal parts.
Polyjet
PolyJet means the small droplets of liquid photopolymer are jeted from multiple jets onto a build platform and cured in layers that form elastomeric parts.

Frequently Asked Questions Of 3D Printing
For more 3D Printing questions, you can also get in touch with us.
It depends on the critical design requirements like strength, temperature resistance, water resistance, aesthetics, or durability you need, usually, they all have different requirements, please contact us for details.
The maximum size of the part depends on the bounding box in the 3D printing machine being used. With the advancement in large format printing options, parts with build volumes as large as 914 x 610 x 914 mm.
Though all file types are ultimately converted to STL (.stl) before printing, the recommended file type to upload is STEP (.stp/.step). SOLIDWORKS (.sldprt), and IGES (.igs/.iges) files,if other type is also OK,like PAD file,we can do the transfer for that.
